This isn't news. Stuff like this has been understand for viral diseases since like the turn of the 20th century and athletes are already monitored for this if they do get sick

Dellenger’s article was such a hack job.

There was no attempt to be objective and compare/contrast covid with any other known virus to cause this

During swine flu(which actually killed 1000s of college kids but nobody gave a frick), we had an outbreak on the team

Those who got it had to re-run their EKGs and labs.

One person had inflamation, they sat out until it went away

Right about that story Dellenger you fricking hack. Contact me here and Ill give you the full details

Yeah, the former FSU basketball player that died of a heart attack after contracting pneumonia was told not to exercise at all and when he was cleared, to quit if he felt fatigued (basically, take it easy). He completely ignored doctors'advice and worked out regularly anyways, not only training before he was cleared but also taking it too far when he was cleared. Now, people like Dan Wolken are pointing the finger at myocarditis as a result of COVID19 as if it was an unknown when he consulted with team physicians. (He tested negative for COVID19 twice after contracting pneumonia on July 6 before finally testing positive for COVID19 in late July)
