The paper means nothing

But a player being offered a scholarship even if they choose not to play would make it extremely difficult for a lawsuit to hold up against the school

Another giant hurdle would be the player proving it was not only the football that caused them getting covid, but that somehow the school forced them to play AND was negligent in preventing the infection


The entire liability angle is overplayed

If parents sign off too, I don’t see how they wouldn’t hold up in any court of law

It will likely be difficult to prove how the kid(s) contracted it anyway
