social justice is actually a good thing
I used to think SJW’s were bad until the stuff considered SJW (diversity, tolerance of gay people, etc.) turned out to be the correct things to fight for. An SJW used to be someone that was mad they were “taking Christ out of Christmas”. Now it usually describes someone fighting for a good cause.

The term social justice has been bastardized. It used to mean actual equality like voting right and gay marriage now it's just usually used when referring to some purple haired white woman who bitches about the patriarchy being the reason her gender studies degree hasn't gotten her anywhere

Exactly.
It's the same in the church now. When the term "fundamentalist" surfaced, when you looked at it and you were a Christian and followed the teachings of Christ, of course you would consider yourself a fundamentalist. Then some writer wrote a negative piece on fundamentalism and from that point on it's become a dirty word within the church.
When you get to the roots of a lot of stuff, there's a lot of time good intentions and ideas behind it, but allow people to morph it and make it into what they want, it becomes bastardized or just taboo.
