I wonder if it is a combination of everything, maybe in the regular season they would have come out this lethargic as well, however, with the injuries as well I wonder if they care? Even though if the season had started on time then Verlander would have missed a couple of starts as well.

Hitting is still there even though people are struggling and the rookies seem to be performing for the most part but missing that clutch factor.

Not when it matters. The situational hitting in last night’s game was an abortion.

I don’t even want to guess any more what the issue is. I was convinced they were pressing to prove they could hit, but now I lean to what you are saying I think they are just lethargic and feeling bad for themselves because of the injuries.

The players have always been mentally fragile, maybe they are missing Hinch and how he manages and deals with the players on a daily basis. As bad as Hinch was in game he was a psych major and the players seemed to like him.

Maybe there is no accountability in the clubhouse anymore. Regardless It’s very tired watching all of these great pitching outings getting spoiled by shitty offense

Are you sure we were watching the same game? It wasn’t there! Montas owned their arse!
