Stackhouse’s defensive philosophy is more simple and is based on the principle that toughness challenges shooters and can help win basketball games even if the offense is not having its best night. “What you can do is give yourself an opportunity to win by being real staunch on the defensive end. That’s where my teams have been in the past,” said Stackhouse.

Play fast on offense and physical on defense. It doesn’t sound like he has strong ties to any particular system. If you hire him I would want top level assistants, but Griffin has shown that’s what he wants to do.

I want Atkinson, Wes Unseld or Darvin Ham.

Not sure I want to take the risk on Stack. But he’s going to get a gig at some point.

Atkinson is just a slam dunk in my opinion. Very good coach. Good player developer. Very very hard on his “stars” which is what we need imo. Players not named Kyrie and KD have come out raving about him and think very highly.

Damn good coach.
