There is absolutely no way you can justify having Georgia ahead of LSU. I can understand LSU being at 4 however.

Sure there is. LSU is 4th to last in the nation in % of returning production. UGA is 59th. The reason a lot of people were bullish on LSU going into last season is because they were returning a ton of production from the 2018 season. The sword cuts both ways. The LSU team that dominated UGA last season isn't lining up this season.
Plus, LSU has a bit more uncertainty than UGA. LSU lost its DC and the offensive coach most attributed credit for the offensive explosion last season (say anything you want. LSU's OC didn't win the top assistant award or get a job offer to run an offense in the NFL). Finally, UGA has a very experienced QB (albeit new to UGA). LSU doesn't.
That's not to say LSU can't or won't be better than UGA. But there is a logical basis for ranking THIS UGA team ahead of THIS LSU team to start the season. Whether these preseason rankings are accurate will sort itself out once play starts.
