I absolutely want my wedding at a Plantation. I want to live on one too. My dream home is a large plantation style home on 30-40 acres. Right now the plan is to build on ten acres but over time I'd like to buy land around us if possible to expand it out. Plantations are the shite.

I assume you mean a Neo-Classical or Greek Revival house? If so, I agree.

Because plantations aren't allowed anymore.

Houmas House plantation near Baton Rouge is perfect for weddings it really is beautiful. As long as you can live with yourself knowing it once housed hundreds of slaves
