I know you were being sarcastic, but Italy, Spain, UK, France, Belgium and Ireland All have MORE deaths per capita than the US. In what universe does that make the US a laughing stock?

Sarcasm. Making fun of the narrative that Europe handled things perfectly and somehow orange man single handed killed millions of American citizens.
California has been locked down to an extreme degree (masks, hazmat suits, face shields, etc.) long before southern states yet they’re also having a resurgence. Stupid.
It sucks, but viruses are gonna run their course. The notion that loose rags over peoples mouths and closing down the entire US economy will save us all is fricking ridiculous.

First world countries that have lots of old folks and fatasses were always going to have more deaths, it is silly to compare the numbers between them.
