Poor argument

The #4 seed has already won the CFP twice, and both of those times it was extremely controversial that they even got in. So basically, the eventual national champion came extremely close to being left out of the CFP in both of those seasons.

That’s a pretty strong argument for expanding the playoff, not keeping the status quo.

(Also, another interesting point is that LSU is the first #1 seed to ever win the CFP this past year)

Ok super fair point...one I lost sight of there...kinda crazy how the parity fluctuates from year to year.

The more teams you add, the less relevant the regular season becomes. I am not in favor of giving Clemson, Ohio State and Alabama a permanent playoff spot.

This sucks because the SEC is going to beat each other up, and Clemson and Oklahoma will go undefeated.
