Yet the bars inside of the Casinos AKA tax producers are still operating just fine.
All suspended for serving people inside.

LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - The Frosty Factory is one of four bars across the state to have its permit suspended for COVID-19 violations, according to information from the State Fire Marshal’s Office.
The bars had their bar permits suspended following excessive or repeated non-compliance with Gov. John Bel Edwards’ COVID-19 emergency order, according to information released by Ashley Rodrigue, public affairs director for the state fire marshal.
“Multiple inspections conducted at the Frosty Factory by State Fire Marshal deputies and Louisiana Department of Health sanitarians found violations of the governor’s order including being open to and serving members of the public inside the bar this past weekend,” according to the news release.
Hearings are scheduled for the first week of August. The bars could face a suspension of up to 30 days.
The Alcohol Tobacco Control suspended bar permits for the following bars:
• Sand Dollar Tiki Bar, Grand Isle
• Frosty Factory, Lake Charles
• Pelican Pub, Gonzales
• Wo-de’s Chill Spot, Harvey
All suspended for serving people inside.

While casinos produce tax, they also pay out a percentage of revenue. And hey, some of that lowers your tax bill. Not bad huh?

I am not anti-casino. I am anti stupid regulations that kill small businesses.

The question is still out if any of this is even constitutional. Our state AG doesn't think it is.

They had a lot of people at karaoke night test positive because they kept touching the microphone.

I'm sure lots of lawsuits will come from this

The fact that some people don't see a problem with this is troubling.

The first weekend they were opened back up had more vehicles there than I've ever seen before. No way they were abiding by the 50% capacity rule. I'd bet they were at 150% capacity tbh.

Because the debit card machine at Walmart is clean?
Or the scanning wand at the self check outs?
I don’t understand how something like a mic at karaoke gets blamed but pin pads at WalMart don’t

I hardly ever pass by there so I have no idea. I did notice Panorama music house was shoulder to shoulder packed one evening when I passed by.

It is said to spread through saliva. A mic gets covered in spit. Not many people are spitting on CC machines.
Outside of karaoke, there is no reason a small bar should be closed while casino bars are allowed to operate just because they are inside of a casino. I say this as someone that doesn't even drink. I just hate losing small businesses.

McDonald's isn't necessary yet it's operating.
