NOLA people love rotel in their jambalaya. Cajuns in Acadiana do not. Baton Rouge wants to be accepted by both, so they sit on the fence...enjoying the wires.

That’s not true at all.
I didn’t even know what Rotel was until my college roommate from Cut Off, LA introduced me to it - and I grew up in New Orleans (In the actual city - not the ‘burbs) and my dad is from South Texas.
