Daily allergy medicine?

Can anyone recommend a daily allergy medicine?
I never had issues in the past. But, moved into an office with carpet and they’ve been running wild. Feels like I blow my nose 10 times a day.
Not sure if I should take a decongestant or antihistamine. Feels more stopped up than anything.

I take Singulair every day and nasacort as needed.
Works really well.
I used to get a sinus infection 3 or 4 times per year. Now maybe once every 3 years

Zyrtec or Claritin
You need to give it at least 2 weeks to see if it works
Buy store brand, much cheaper
You may also try a small air purifier, I had one in my last office

I’ve had good luck with Allegra

Sounds like you need plain old Claritin. Could do a Nasacort if you wanted.

Zyrtec + Flonase
Was on Allegra for years but it eventually stopped working for me. Switched to Zyrtec and it’s working better. The Flonase helps keep the nasal passages clear to reduce sinus infections

Haven’t tried this because of cost
Is it worth it?

I use Zyrtec and a nasal irrigation system, if my sinuses get stuffy.

By “office” do you mean a giant room with a bunch of partitions and cubicles, or a small room with your desk and a couple of chairs?
Regardless, the carpet probably hasn’t been regularly vacuumed since it was installed. Pay to have the carpet steam cleaned if it’s your personal office or office suite.
Vacuuming your cubicle and the areas around your workspace might help if that’s your setup.

Make sure its actually being vacuumed first of all haha. Also an air purifier/fan will help clean the air. But Allegra D or Claritan usually get the job done.

My first question when people come up to the window is do you mind nasal sprays ?
I personally don’t so Flonase is a no-go however if they don’t mind, I’ll usually recommend that as it works great..
If they don’t like sprays, my go to is Allegra.. as it lasts a full 24 hourS... Zyrtec And Claritin ... are okay and would work fine but my preference is Allegra .. but I’d pick those two only if Allegra isn’t available .
I take Singulair on an as needed basis... I’ll go weeks without taking it.. but If there’s heavy pollen or something out.. I’ll take it for a few days
