When does the football program get reinvented?
Better their football program being temporarily bad than their state being a perpetual shithole. A little perspective goes along way & some of you don't have any.

I’m sorry, I can’t quite make out what your trying to convey while staring at these Heisman, SEC, and NC trophies.

I respect that this board doesn't even try to hide the racism anymore.

Recently applied for a job at ORNL. Think moving my family to the Knoxville area would be significantly better than up here in Minnesota
Hardin Valley is the best community in Knoxville in terms of ease of access into Oak Ridge. Great public schools and one of the more affluent areas in the city. Pretty unique in that even though it's a community in Knoxville it's actually faster to get to downtown Oak Ridge than it is to make it to downtown Knoxville.

How’s the Knoxville airport with flights? Which airlines operate and to where?
Posted on 7/25/20 at 9:24 am to Paul Allen
It's a smaller airport and it's expensive. You'd have to look on their website for more information on the flights.

The big ones and Allegiant.
Plenty of non-stops on Allegiant, otherwise it's connecting to a hub like DFW, ATL, Charlotte, Houston, Chicago.
I just bought round trips from Knoxville to Minneapolis for under $200 each. Connect in Charlotte going and Chicago returning.
ETA: They aren't usually that cheap. Thanks covid.

I feel bad for Orange Hat as they were opening right when all the lockdowns started.
Orange Hat and Next Level definitely got the short end of the stick as far as timing. So did several of the other businesses that opened up downtown like the Axe throwing joint, The Karaoke bar, and several of the restaurants.

15min to OAK
25min to SFO
50min to SJC
And all three airports have competitive prices and many nonstop options.

I like Orange Hat, they seem to be doing well through all this. Helps that they are the only brewery in that part of town.

Knoxville Demographics
According to the most recent ACS, the racial composition of Knoxville was:
White: 75.25%
Shhhh!!!!
Don't ruin this for me!

I think Knoxville is about to see a surge.

I spent about five days there in 2018, and it was great!

Love it here. Duck hunting and fishing blows compared to Louisiana but the weather makes up for that and then some.

Nice city.... but how is the crime rate and population breakdown.

Asheville is a weird bubble. That shite would never fly in Knoxville.

Another thing we have enjoyed is that a large portion of the eastern US is within a single day drive. That opens up a lot of weekend trip possibilities.
Posted on 7/25/20 at 12:23 pm to hob
Yeah, so far we have only done Nashville for the LSU/Vandy game, Asheville, and a Pigeon Forge cabin during quarantine, but really looking forward to more weekend trips.
