After watching the movie for the second time, I really believe the next two characters will be Bane and the Riddler.

Zeus is a big guy who would be perfect for Bane. I've heard talk about the Riddler being the guy from Dr. Who. For those of you who follow the comic books, you know the Riddler is an excellent marksman. I think he could be one of the GI's from the boat. Specifically, that National Guardsmen thats kind of famous that they kept focusing on.

So, basically they would be pulling one character from both the ships that the Joker was going to blow up.

Its a long shot but I think, if there will be another Batman movie, it will be Bane and the Riddler.

Probably wrong but you never know. What say you?

Zeus from No Holds Barred? I think they'll need a better actor for Bane, IMHO.

Nah, I think he'll do fine as the psychotic bane. He's big. Angry. Intimidating.

Finding guys that big are a hard task. I think I'll shoot somebody if they get The Rock. They won't. He's a joke. Everything Zeus has been in he's played an intimidating character.

The Riddler will probably need to be a big name though. They used Scarecrow with some mildly mid-level actor. I think they could do the same with Bane.

ive heard it would be Catwoman because of the joke Lucius (morgan freeman) makes to Wayne when he asks him about whether or not his new bat suit is capable of handling dogs, and he says something along the lines of "No, but it will hold off cats" - its an interesting argument, something to think about i guess

Nolan doesn't even know who the villans in the next one are.

All examples of "foreshadowing," no matter how overt, are possibilities at best

Could they actually introduce Catwoman without it being extremely cheesy or campy?

I don't see it. She is synonymous with the creepy Batman Returns. I think they have to go with a vintage character and newer character.

I can't see them doing the Penguin. He's too silly. I think they could develop the Riddler into a darker character.

The Bane character on second thought might be too over the top. The Comic Books portrayed him in a ridiculous light.

ya the prospect of catwoman does worry me, i would prolly be skeptical, especially after the amazing villain performance in Dark Night and that terrible halle berry catwoman movie, Lucius' remark could just be like a funny "easter egg" type remark for those that caught it, which would be cool

yes, thats exactly what they are going to do. I mean it makes SOOO much sense. What other person could possibly play it other than the actor who played Deebo in "Friday". I mean, it makes. just. SO. much. sense.

*head hurts

I don't really know much about the comic book interpretation of Bane, but Batman & Robin left a bad taste in my mouth in regards to his character.

Basically any "big guy" could play a mindless freak like Bane. It's essentially like casting someone to play Jason Vorhees. It takes no acting ability as long as you're a warm body who can act menacing.

They would have to seriously re-imagine his character if this were to work. As long as they can write a plausible enough scenario for ANY villain to appear and it not come off as cheesy, I place my faith in Nolan and the other writers.

I think Harvey's dead, but I can see where they could bring him back if they truly wanted to.

Possibly they just ship his arse off to Arkham or some undisclosed location while the general public thinks that he's dead.

A Two-Face breakout could exonerate Batman in the third one, although that's exactly what Batman and Gordan were trying to avoid.

You mean the big convict who...SPOILER ALERT"...

...DID THE RIGHT THING...threw the detonator overboard ...when the guard commander couldn't/didn't do so...and didja notice...none of the cons complained or whined when he did so?

Sadly the TV show and those horrid batman movies have ruined some characters in most peoples mind. Robin (Dick Grayson) is not a bad sidekick and and acutally goes on to become Nightwing who is a very good character. He goes on to really resent Batman and never really forgives him for what he thinks Batman did or didnt do.

Bane is a GREAT character and its just too bad they made him a JOKE in the Batman and Robin movie.
In the comics he is smart and very cunning. If Tiny could pull off the smart and cunning part, Bane could be one of the better villians in Nolan's Universe. What better way for Nolan to end his run of Batman movies than to have Bane break the bat and end the series. There is NO way Nolan considers doing the Azrael thing so why not got out with a Bang and stay very true to the comics for once.

Please please forget that the Bane in that picture ever existed

Yes, I know his name...but didn't make that clear in my previous post...my point was...that individual...a con incarcerated for who knows what...did the right thing...threw the detonator overboard...willingly chose to sacrifice himself and his fellow cons for the sake of the innocent folks on the other boat. That doesn't sound like the attitude a "super villian" would have. Or are you just talking about the actor, and not the character he was playing in TDK. If you were just speaking of the actor...well...Oh...NEVER MIND!

BUT...you know there would be a "but'...I don't think the producers would cast the role that way...but I don't speak for them of coarse.

Yeah, I was sort of thinking the same thing with Tiny's character.

How does one go from being the moral compass for a ship full of convicts to a murdering psychopath? Just because he has the size for the role doesn't make him a good fit. They'd have to write in something to compensate for his huge attitude adjustment. Maybe a huge injection of Venom?
