West
LSU -- 12-1 (8-1 SEC, 5-0 West, SEC champion)
Auburn -- 9-3 (5-3 SEC, 4-1 West)
Alabama -- 8-4 (4-4 SEC, 3-2 West)

Georgia -- 10-2 (6-2 SEC, 4-1 East)

South Carolina -- 9-3 (5-3 SEC, 3-2 East)
Kentucky -- 5-7 (1-7 SEC, 1-4 East)

12. Vanderbilt (0-8)
SEC sends eight to bowls. I might be (am, no doubt) underrating the bottom four and it wouldn't surprise me to see one or even two become bowl-eligible since two of them -- Arkansas and Kentucky -- were last year and one of them -- Vanderbilt -- lost two games by a field goal (Georgia and Tennessee) and ended 5-7.

Arkansas -- 4-8 (1-7 SEC, 1-4 West)
Ole Miss -- 4-8 (1-7 SEC, 0-5 West)

Local sports guy here in P'cola has Georgia running the table in the SEC.
Posted on 7/26/08 at 4:02 pm to SthGADawg
hmmm without giving to much detail......the reason why GEORGIA wont run the table is i cant stand there fricking asses and that is football talk for you YOUR TEAM sucks arse hahaha jk u guys have a good team this yr i like how yall man handle the practice squad.. easily number 1 in sec right now

They go through LSU, South Carolina, and Florida, and host Tennessee.

I think the main reason Georgia won't go undefeated is that they have to play at LSU and against Florida in Jacksonville back to back Saturdays. If you can win those two games in a seven day span they should give you the national championship trophy on the spot.

being a georgia fan for awhile this is what i see about those two games....if we lose to you guys we could lose in jax...if we beat lsu in death valley and are still undefeated(which i believe we will be when we play you guys)...we will beat flaw-duh...its just how the dawgs are...

responses seem a little more than biased

I just don't see how LSU can come off of a two-loss season and lose their QB, lose their top running back and emotional leader, lose key players on defense (including the #5 pick in the draft), and have big time question marks at linebacker and cornerback and improve to a one-loss or unbeaten team.

I think it will be florida/lsu in the SECCG...

Most of this is biased hopeful thinking. Most LSU fans are hoping for the best and preparing for a possible 2-4 loss season as we are questionable at key positions. It's the SEC. Every team is going to have earn it, and I'm sure it will be a very interesting and exciting season to see SEC football this year.
Going back to UGA going undefeated. I just look at their tough schedule and you have to think that they will slip up at least once next year. I'll be pulling for an SEC team to end up in Miami next year in the ship. If UGA makes it, I'll be rooting for them. I just don't see how any team will go undeated in the SEC this year.

Auburn wins the West (d/t schedule)
Florida wins the East
Florida wins SEC
LSU still makes it to BCS at large bid!

I don't see how LSU could come off a 2 loss season where we lose the #1 overall draft pick QB and TWO first round recievers AND a #6 overall DB on the defense and improve! Just couldn't happen.... wait a minute...
