re: Is the Biden candidacy a bait and switch?

I guess I'm confused. Aren't there rules and such that govern how and if and when and whether this can be done? This isn't Nam.
I was of the understanding that the only way a completely new person could come into the picture would be by way of a brokered convention, and third round of something yadda yadda. I mean, would it really be possible for enough delegates to suddenly peel off and vote for a couple other candidates than the one who's been bandied about as the "presumptive nominee" to force follow up rounds of voting? And intentionally avoid the other candidates accidentally achieving the requisite amount of votes so that after 3 or whatever rounds still no one has earned the proper number? At which point the mystery person comes trotting in on a white horse??
Seems like a lot of stuff, most especially since the whole "presumptive nominee" label was given.

Bait and switch? Highly likely. Switched with "what" is what is scaring me

I somehow missed that. Was probably just a hole in the space-time continuum got me.
But so it does appear to be just that far flung. Not impossible, but very startling set of circumstances, if I may. I'm just gonna be lazy about it and say it's Biden until he dies. Which could be anytime I guess.

The dem convention virtual or not is the official thing. It is August 17th. In 15 days.
If Biden is still alive in 15 days. He will take the nomination. Then if Biden were to drop out (he will) they can appoint Mickey Mouse, anybody.
If Biden drops out before he officially accepts the nomination on August 17th, it automatically goes to Bernie Sanders.
The only thing to do now is guess how many days after August 17th will Biden suddenly have to step down? I want on the betting pool at Aug. 19th-two days after the convention.
Then they will by proxy nominate whoever Biden's VP is. (They are having trouble getting someone to pass basic oppo research) that is popular.
So I want on the betting roster that on Aug. 19th or 20th Susan Rice will be crowned the dem nominee and her VP will be a black female.

You can't rule anything out, that for sure. They may do better with the black vote under those circumstances, but seems as if they would lose blue collar rust belt votes something fierce.

Hillary Clinton will be the Democrat nominee.

Ya never know. She did get a face lift and new Carol Brady hair style.

She and Biden should trade faces, or combine faces, surgically. Sorta like that phone app. Couldn't hurt anything, ya know? Might actually have some shock value for them.

he owned her yet I barely remember that debate clip.
6 BILLION dollars missing in Hillary's state dept.

Bass & Duckworth. (I can see them placing Duckworth because she is a veteran with no legs so she would be treated with kids gloves in debates)
Duckworth/Harris
The dems are a mess.

Is it possible he could be incapacitated or clipped before the election and the switch to a more moderate and pleasing candidate takes his place?
None of these exist in the Democratic Clown World. It seems they're prepping Cuomo to come off the bench in relief of Quid Pro Joe, but he's neither moderate nor pleasing.

The dems can't find anybody.

I think the plan will be to release mail in voting. Then when election results are not confirmed the democrats use the 20th amendment to promote the speaker of the house as President until the votes are conclusive. Has to be the plan.
Posted on 8/2/20 at 11:53 am to LetsgoGamecocks
Cant be that. If Presidential votes are still being counted then so would Congressional votes, meaning there would be no 117th Congress of the United States to swear in on their date of January 3rd. Which would leave the 116th Congress' term expired, and no current House of Representatives. Thus no SOTH. Pelosi's term as Speaker concludes on the 3rd as well of course, although she could be reelected as such but 2 things would have to happen: Congressional election is signed sealed and delivered; and Dems keep majority. But as long as we don't know outcome of President, we also wouldn't know outcone of any of that in the House.

This is obvious by the way Fauci was praising Cuomo last week.

They were planning for Cuomo in March.
He was suppose to look like the savior (calling out DeBlasio) and leading during a pandemic...
He failed but he is all they got.
