Ordered new irons, wedges, and putter. Still have to go back for the Long Game portion (Driver/3 wood/hybrid), but what a great experience. I'm sure I got upsold on some things but those Titleist T100S feel buttery...even on my miss hits.
Was still swinging Callaway X-22s from freshman year of highschool. They were an inch short for me, too light, and to flexible. Swing speed went up, average distance went up (although the lofts are much stronger), but in return my spin rate dropped 1700RPM which was great. Went from 7200RPM to 5500RPM. No wonder I couldn't control anything into the wind! Smash factor was 1.41-1.43 with the 6i.
I am pumped to go back to for the long game portion to see the data changes. It was great getting to process the data with the fitter, and hit different Iron and shaft combos.
*UPDATE*
I had to be pretty lucky to hit a fairway with my original TM Burner. I lost control of it many years ago. Bobby set me up with a PXG head paired with a Aldila RIP shaft after hitting a TS2, TS3, Mizuno, Ping 410. PXG 0811x had the most forgiving miss hits for my swing. I was kind of surprised I never hit a new TM or Callaway. I averaged 276 yards with the new club and maxed out at 304 Yards. Swing Speed was between 110-115. I believe once I get a little practice with the new head and shaft I will get more consistent striking, and hopefully bump those numbers up. Total dispersion on the new set up was about 40 feet. I am really excited to get everything in and play some rounds.

I would be interested to know how you like those Lamkin Sonar grips.

Liked how they were soft rubber with a little tackiness to them.

Interesting your GW is part of the iron set

Probably one of those upsell items.
But that is how my current set up is...Should I change to match my wedges?

Really depends on how you use that wedge. I use my 50 degree as mainly a full shot or chipping club so a set version wouldn't be that big of deal for me versus a specialized wedge.
I play the X100s as well and love those shafts. Now the wait begins for them to all show up!

Why did he suggest a 56 and 58 degree wedge and not gap them to better fit your iron set?

This is how I use that club so that is perfect.

To get the correct bounce and grind I need. If you look to the left you'll see the Loft column. It'll be bent to a 54

T100’s are comparable to the AP2’s, correct? T300’s to the AP1’s and T200’s to the AP3’s?
About to pull the trigger on some T200’s. Would like to venture to the T100s but I don’t think my game is there yet

I would do how they fit you, generally your distance gap will be more GW to SW than PW to GW. But its a give and take

Just curious and I hope I don’t come across as judgmental, what sold you on getting your shafts Pured and what is your handicap?
Posted on 7/22/20 at 10:00 pm to JohnDoe00
I wish I had a 50 as part of my iron set. My PW is around 135-140 and my 50 is about 105. I go over the green a lot when I get in that gap. Either I try to push my 50 and skull it or I just dont take enough off of the PW

I do not have an official handicap but with recent scores and CBandits chart he posted recently I estimate around a 12. Although, I have been playing and practicing a lot more and I am hoping getting fitted will shave some strokes off. I was simply sold on it to be honest. I didn't know much about it, but him explaining it made sense at the time while making my decision. I would love to hear opinions on getting iron shafts pured. I can make adjustments to the build because all the manufacturers are so backed up.
Also, part of me said frick it... I was in a spending mood already.

My personal opinion is pured shafts are unlikely to add much, but if money isn't a major issue, why not..
Also, just an FYI, you would be a -12 (most people just say 12). + means you are on the other side of par (aka below scratch). Good luck and enjoy the new set.

Thanks for the correction.

I don’t have an opinion either way. It’s more of a cost benefit to you personally. It’s pretty polarizing to be honest. Some people swear by it and some say it’s a hoax. The science makes sense but how effective it actually is is up for debate. Bottom line to me is if you think it’s worth $30 per club to have the best possible club then I can’t argue with that logic.
For me personally, I’ve played both and couldn’t tell much of a difference. However, the folklore among low handicappers is when the science first came about the guy who developed it asked Davis Love if he could have his clubs pured. The guy asked his thoughts and Love said he liked the feel but for some reason the 7 iron felt off compared to the others. Well, the guy who pured them intentionally left the 7 iron unPured and told Davis. That’s sort of how it got started. Take it for what it’s worth.

He can say 12. No one assumes he or anyone for that matter is a + 12.
Enjoy the new clubs.

I don't know how much they're charging you but you can get that a lot cheaper if you order through discount dans.
