They're setting the stage for Cuomo to come in and rescue the Democrats when Quid Pro Joe can no longer function and has to drop out of the race.

So who gets “hit” has nothing to do with what they do?

Well, Cuomo is still in that race.

That quote needs to be publicized in every media outlet.

He absolutely should fire him. It would give him a chance to shine a huge spotlight on the way New York handled the pandemic. All of the media would be in outrage and they would put it all on blast. Trump could then put it on blast that Cuomo put all those covid patients in nursing homes with the most at risk demographic among us. 30,000 people.

The information is already out there, but this would be a great chance to force the media to cover it.

Sending positive cases back into retirement homes and keeping the subway open were good decisions?

This guy is Deep State. Cuomo sends hundreds of Covid-19 patients to nursing homes. Exposes hundreds of thousands of immune deficient elderly to Covid-19. Kills a whole bunch of them.

So what does Fauci do? He sings the praises of New York, while Cuomo attacks President Trump and accuses him of a poor response.

You can't make this stuff up.

Can you imagine if DeSantis had the failure Cuomo had? And if a member of the Trump administration came out and said he did a great job?

Oh wait. We don’t have to imagine. Just remember “Brownie” and Katrina.

President Trump needs a good reason to fire him? Can’t he fire anyone, at any time, for any reason at all?

To be fair to Fauci (not that the loathsome bastard deserves it), I believe he is referring to how NY reduced their caseload from its April peaks, not how they handled their response from the git-go.

What he is refusing to acknowledge is that the main reason the state “ got hit worse than any place in the world” is that their brain-dead government leaders did everything in their power to make the disease more virulent and lethal to their own citizens. And now that they are on the downside of the initial peak, they are celebrating their “triumph”, and Fauci is providing them cover for their hideously atrocious early response.

Remember the whole “flatten the curve” argument?

Essentially, NY (and NJ) failed miserably at “flattening the curve”, which is why their daily death toll looks more like the left part of the graph, while most of the other states look more like the right side.

NY reduced its caseload because the majority of people who are susceptible to the virus have had it.

Yep. Killing 30k in a short time did wonders for NY's herd immunity.

They shouldn't be praised for shite. It isn't like they went down 3 touchdowns and came back in the 2nd half.

They sent ~30k elderly people to their death all the while being smug as frick about it.

That doesn't even include how many livelihoods they destroyed.

Fauci and Democrats can frick off.

Totally agree with both your and 808’s points.

That’s what makes Fauci’s praise for NY’s response not merely disingenuous, but flat out evil.
