You can't guarantee things will be any different with covid than they are now, unless attitudes change and people just say screw it.

Shutting it all down makes the draft more risky in evaluating talent. Hold the draft before the bowls. Baseball does it during the regionals. There are very few draft eligible players so talented that they will skip the season. Most players need to prove how good they are. Just think, watching the NFL this fall (they could play on Saturday and Sunday with no competition)!then rolling right into College football. Almost a year straight of football.
A spring football season would see roughly 14-16 of LSU's starting 22 sit out. No way those guys focus on anything other than getting ready for the draft. I wouldn't assume the NFL is going to move their draft either.
