Because one or more of them will accidentally drop their weapons causing a stray bullet or three to strike the back of her head.

Correct. Put heavily armed guards at her cell and tell them if she dies while in custody, you the armed guards will also die. Even if she does die of natural causes. If it happens while in custody you die also.
