I work in Northern California. Believe it or don't. They start out at $65 an hour. Call pay is 1/2 of your base with a 3 hour guarantee. Call teams are no less than 3-4 members and our department requires 24 hour coverage. RNs clear far more (unfairly so). I don't know what they make in the south but in Alabama they made $1.50 an hour on call so you do the math. Not to mention free healthcare, employer funded pension and 401K match....its a lucrative field for an associates degree. I say go for it.

Rad techs? I doubt that.
BIL is an interventional radiologist. He doesn’t have a tech who makes $100k. To clear $200k you have to live in NYC, or CA. Then you have to consider cost of living, which is why they make that much.
