And you do understand that if the spread is slowed and the number of spreadable contagions drops below 1 than, the virus would go away and therefore be “stopped”.

Ugh. You do understand that if we SLOW the spread, you will get to do things besides sit at home and yell at your kids to get on their zoom class in the fall.
Like, go to Auburn games (or at least watch them).
Let's say masks only slow the spread by half. If that half means that life goes on (other than the mild inconvenience of a mask in public) are you that hard headed to not be a part of the solution?
