Yes, I’d be worried about him getting influenza at this age as well.

He should be concerned. Even influenza can be deadly to a baby that young. Even basically a cold (RSV) can kill a baby that young. Their little lungs get easily overwhelmed by respiratory illnesses. And since they primarily breathe through their nose at that age....if their noses are stopped up with excess mucous from the respiratory illness....causes them to more easily go into respiratory distress.
