So sorry to hear.
As a hospice nurse, there’s been some positive studies done on alkaline diets that supposedly cancer can’t grow in that PH.
It primarily involves a major lifestyle change of a strict diet of plant-based, locally fresh/nutrient-packed, and uncooked (not even steamed). Juiced, blended or eaten whole. No added/processed/inorganic table fats, sugars, or salt. The idea is that if your immune system has all the nutrients it needs to defend itself, it is the best physician and will not only arrest or reverse cancer, but all diseases simultaneously. It suggests a nutrient deficient body is what allows diseases to develop. But it is a major daily commitment to that lifestyle.
I think it’s a hopeful option worth researching.
Chemo has some success, but it is also a no-guarantee risk as it is a toxin you are putting in your body which can damage healthy cells while trying to kill the intended cancer cells. Radiation is just that. It burns away cancer cells and good ones in the way. I can tell you, I get chemo & radiation treated patients routinely here at the hospice.
Best wishes.

quote:Not sure where you learned that, but the alkaline diet and it’s alleged impact on cancer growth is incredibly inaccurate and not sound medical advice.

The American Institute for Cancer Research says: ”large, well-designed clinical trials on the effectiveness of the claims made for the alkaline diet on slowing cancer growth are lacking. Our acid-base balance is well regulated – blood pH is tightly controlled normally by the body between 7.35 and 7.45. If our pH becomes too acid or alkaline, that could be life threatening and can cause serious health problems”.
MD Anderson also disagrees and says: “The alkaline diet is based on the theory that eating certain foods can change the body’s acid levels, also called the pH levels. There’s no way the foods you eat can alter the pH level of your blood. The body’s pH is a very tightly regulated system.[i] If you change your diet, there’s no way you could ever eat enough that it really impacts your blood.
