They clearly want to build on the Mandalorian, which is during this period.

Actually, I have seen very little of The Clone Wars on t.v., and while I did like it more than any of the prequels OR sequels, an animated show on SW just isn't my thing.
I 'liked' the original 3 movies very much, but I'm not what most would call a TRUE SW fan. More of a casual fan, tbh.
Ahsoka, as best I can gather, is a viable , solid female character. Unlike Rae 'Palatine' , who is about as Mary Sue as they come.

I've been a HUGE Rosario fan, but her politics does concern me as of late. She was great in Dare Devil and the Netflix Marvel shows, and I suspect she'd be great as Ahsoka. My only real concern is her age, but then again, I'm not the expert. I suppose in the timeline, 40 something yr old Rosario is probably a good fit?

I’ve watched his shows. I don’t care what he said in a interview. If he said what you wanted him to say, he would have been fired. Instead, he put his head down and gave us Rebels and a Clone Wars finale better than anything Disney produced.
If you want quotes, you should watch his monologue at the end of the Legacy episode of the behind the scenes show about the Mandalorian. Dude gets Star Wars as much as Lucas.
