I'll say this about Drew Brees, I have always loved the guy. I think it's pretty clear to everyone that he's a straight arrow.
I lost a ton of respect for him. Why should anyone waste any energy on defending the guy when he refused to defend himself? There were plenty of people willing to stand behind him and show him support and he basically decided to shite all over them because he knew that in the end, they wouldn't harass him and his family and threaten his future earnings like the backlash from the BLM leftists and their stooges across the league and throughout the general public. Drew did not stand on his convictions at a time when our country is falling apart and the narrative is being driven by frothing at the mouth, low IQ idiots. That is shameful on any level but for a guy with the type of wealth and job security Brees has to crumble and acquiesce to a few days worth of pressure is pathetic and shameful IMO.
I watched significantly less NFL last season, Saints included, than I probably ever have and it was fine. Didn't miss anything. I love football and will continue to watch the Saints within reason. Would have no problem bowing out though.
A society that makes every aspect of itself, including it's formerly apolitical and pure past times into hyperpolitical pressure cookers is one that is treading down a very dangerous road. I find the whole thing very disconcerting.

I really wish they would boycott this board since they hate the NFL/ SAINTS so much

You have it nailed. This is 100% correct. NFL & NBA are in for a rude awakening. Come November, I see a major correction coming.

Don’t worry us middle class whites will find something other to do than cheer for people who hate us

Then why is BLM telling us all to do?
Thugs have no authority to tell anyone anything.
Enjoy your stay on the liberal filth plantation!!

Why hasn’t ED Reed, Shannon Sharpe, Malcolm Jenkins, made any comments about the burning of the Wendy’s this weekend.
Why haven’t they made comments about obeying officers and not punching them in the face then stealing their tasers?
What great role models. It’s funny how we are suppose to be listening and can’t say anything because they are grieving. However they don’t want to hear any statistics that don’t play into their narrative.
Brees’ competitiveness made him make the apology in my opinion, wants another championship and wanted to be on good terms with teammates. However, His comments were in no way offense I don’t even think the people who are attacking him read his whole answer.
Imagine if one of these Players actually made a comment and told it like it really was.

Thought it wasn’t about the flag. Moving the goal post again.

You need to understand that the incredibly vocal group right now is the MINORITY, not the majority
The nfl will still pander to them though. There’s nothing you can do about it (that will work)

I love watching you white men get all riled up over a piece of cloth.

Being a die hard fan of the Saints from the 1st kickoff ,I can truthfully say I watched even the bags games all the way through , each & every year. HOWEVER , frick the Saints, and sep. Drew MF Breees. I had all the respect In the world for him, being short in comparison to the pro typical NFL QB. After kneeling to an apology you know he doesn't really mean , his latest chicken shite move was to praise kasepaernick and root for him to be allowed back in. I've had enough. Brees has made enough money to not have to suck that arse. He sould have just said frick you Saints, I'm not retracting anything.frick Brees, Kapernick, and all their heroes and running dogs.

I have come to admire how you black men piss and moan about everything. They make millions of dollars, have high dollar whores for wives , and are a true symbol of Americanism. Good for you guys. But when you wake tomorrow you'll still be in your shoes , and i'll still be in mine.

You're literally the one moaning bubba.

Here’s a thought. How about they advocate that their fellow humans stop breaking the law, specifically committing violent crimes at a disproportionate rate.... They should be positive role models for young black kids.
Someone doesn’t know how to read and learn at the same time. To fight for equal treatment for all, has to be the most influential precedence to be held up as a role model for all youth.
