It’s damn near impossible to find 2-3/4” 20 gauge buckshot. **UPDATE in OP**

Looking to buy some bulk 20 ga buckshot and have struck out

UPDATE — finally found some in 2 diff places after about a week of searching. Found a guy that does some special custom loading and picked up 30 from him In ‘00’ buck and then actually found 5 boxes of #3 buck at a damn pawn shop of all places!

Looks like I’m good for a while but I’ll continue to collect as I find more.

Well I’ll admit I haven’t looked for any in prob 10 years but damn.

I was gonna take an old 20ga 1100 I had and convert It to a home defense shotgun. Not only is the ammo hard to come by but so are conversion parts like pistol grip stocks and mag extenders. Tons of stuff for 12ga.

Guess I’m converting the 12ga 1100 over now!

Thanks for the link. Great if you want to get ammo in a few weeks from now. I guess it beats going to the local stores every morning to find ammo.

#6 should stop a person dead in their tracks, no? They might suffer a little more before dying but they still going to die.

You might wanna try some of the largest turkey loads or TSS turkey loads. Most of the looter panic buyers passed them over because of cost and not knowing their effectiveness.

Yeah I know there are more options I could use. Just started looking for buckshot first

Good luck finding it. Everything is gone again. Once things calm down and you can fairly readily find it at a reasonable price, remember this and make sure you lay in a decent supply of ammo for the future.

The definition of "decent" is left to you.

Ten fo,, I was in academy last week and even though I didn’t need any ammo I passed through. There was not one box of anything for a Ar platform or any popular defense calibers for any pistols.
However, 45lc 22mag and 30-06 were all available. I will be looking to add those to replace my guns that I lost in that tragic boating accident.

I have not looked for any in years. I made my 3" Magnum 20 gauge into a sawed off one with a pistol grip 30 years ago. With everything going on I want to get some shells.

I am assuming 3" Magnum shells will be harder to find then 2 3/4" shells.

You can find 20ga in 3" but mostly waterfowl loads. Regardless, in a room of your house,or even across 2 rooms, #6 shot and below will definitely incapacitate any human in one shot.

I think I saw some 20 gauge 3” buckshot in all my searching but no 2-3/4. Looked at so many places though I couldn’t tell you where it was

I use 2 3/4 high brass #4 12 gauge in my mossberg.

Dig a box out of my dads gun closet. Had a $3.99 price tag on the box ??

I bought my 20 gauge when I was around 12 years old for duck and squirrel hunting from Monkey Ward. In the late 80's I had to go out of state working construction and my wife wanting something for protection. At that time I was doing some work at a local FBI office and I checked all the laws about making it into a sawed off shotgun. It also has a pistol grip. I am digging it out from under the bed due to the crap that keeps going on and on.

That's simple.

Step 1: eFile Form 1 and pay your $200 tax.
Step 2: Wait about a month for tax stamp and approval to arrive.
Step 3: Go to town with a hacksaw.

Skip steps 1 or 2 and maybe go to prison for 10 years. Land of the free!

This is false. Beyond point blank range birdshot is not going to give definite stops. A heavy jacket can completely stop it.

Birdshot is for birds. Buckshot is for stopping a threat.
