Statues to former Confederates in the Capitol Rotunda...

Some are demanding they be removed once again, but I feel at least one of those statues should stay. Interestingly enough, the statue that needs to stay is one from Alabama - the statue of Joseph Wheeler. While he fought for the Confederacy as a lieutenant general of cavalry in the Civil War, he reconstructed himself into a U.S. congressman from Alabama in the war's aftermath. Moreover, when war was declared against Spain in 1898, he answered his nation's call - becoming a major general of cavalry and leading his men into battle on the island of Cuba. It was from Wheeler that Teddy Roosevelt and his Rough Riders received orders to attack in the now famous Battle of San Juan Hill.
He is one of the few Confederates to be buried in Arlington National Cemetery. His service to the United States in the aftermath of the Civil War has earned him a place of honor in the U.S. Capitol Building as far as I'm concerned.

We don't care about the good people did, conform or be erased from history.

This former grand wizard's statue is still up, but he's ok because he was a democrat and Obama spoke at his funeral.

But if you did something stupid in high school and posted it on social media - your life must be ruined.

Move them all to museums so that people who actually value history can continue to cherish it.

I believe the individual States choose the 2 statues that are in the Capitol. They should tell Nancy, “my statue, my choice.”

You probably cheered when the Buddhist statues in Afghanistan were destroyed.

Because the Buddha and the Confederates are so much alike.

Yes, the States are asked to supply two statues. La has Huey P, who all the socialists should love, and Edward Douglas White, Senator and Supreme Court Justice.
Either way, some of em gonna have to go.
ETA: Yeah Eddie's arse is gone. Served in the Confederacy.

The problem when you give in to these demands is that it doesn't stop. We were told 5 years ago that it's only about Confederate statues, which obviously is not the case as we see the likes of Christopher Colombus and Andrew Jackson come under fire.
Pretty much every "founder" in the U.S. should offend Native Americans. Let's go ahead and remove those also.
Most Progressives loathe religion too. I'm sure they'll find offense in religious symbols soon.
The intolerant Left has shown that there will be no end.
