Blah blah. I disown my diploma from LSU if thats a thing. However my 4 kids and $ will be directed elsewhere.

Thankfully, I’d cut off contributions when FKing was hired, so I don’t have to make any adjustments

Got it and promptly did not read it.

Increase the ratio of minority professionals in every academic area.
To achieve this in the short-term, we will increase and energize our existing Opportunity Hire initiative through the Office of Diversity. In the mid-term, we will deploy block hires as outlined in the University’s Roadmap to Diversity & Inclusion, and in the long-term we will develop a stronger pipeline to recruit students of color into academic careers and expand academic mentorship and retention.
credentials don't matter of course
if you are a minority, you're in

More diversity hires. Great.

This isn’t equality. This is special treatment.

totally identifying as black from now on to get on this gravy train. See you baws at the bank.
My employer sent out a racial compassion questionnaire today. I identified my race as “two or more” for white and whiter. I dare anyone question me.

More damn affirmative action and also:
frick THIS IGNORANT RACE-PANDERING bullshite.

Additionally, at the LSU Board of Supervisors meeting on June 19 we will consider a motion to remove the name Troy H. Middleton from LSU’s library. The library is a place where our students of color should feel welcome and safe as they study, learn, and congregate with their peers. Building and place names should not be a reminder of a racist past,

Lieutenant General Troy Houston Middleton (12 October 1889 – 9 October 1976) was a distinguished educator and senior officer of the United States Army who served as a corps commander in the European Theatre during World War II and later as president of Louisiana State University (LSU). He is best known for his decision to hold Bastogne during the Battle of the Bulge, contrary to the recommendation of Lieutenant General George S. Patton, Jr., Commanding General (CG) of the United States Third Army.

God damn John Wilkes Booth to hell.

Translation: We are gonna keep trying to bring in more minorities, merit be damned, and we will train your white children in how to fix their racism

Meaningless gesture, blacks will NEVER achieve parity with whites due to various issues. I can speak the truth because im not white.

Alrighty ..

So, ULL, I'm ok with you becoming the flagship.

Or you could, you know, simply hire people based solely on their qualifications and abilities without concern for race, gender, sexual orientation, or other irrelevant traits.
That would be true equality, unlike this bastardized version of it.

I wasn't considering it. Now I'm forbidding it. If they are genuinely pursing affirmative action, that degree will decline in prestige quickly.
Give it a month or two, and other than a couple of very conservative private schools every other university in America will be sending out the same rhetoric. Given the current level of corporate race pandering it will not be long before getting a job will be impossible unless you have a degree from a school with policies similar to LSU.

Just stop. There is a clear formula for achieving success in America but the problem is that a large number of black Americans don’t take advantage. Saying they will NEVER get there is pessimistic.
Parroting these talking points from the 1800s doesn’t help anything. It just makes people angry and it fuels movements like you’re seeing right now.

Contact your legislator, demand funding be stripped....only way to fix this.

Wasn’t the building commissioned, approved, and built post- Civil Rights Act 1964?
