Wednesday Night Wrestling Wars Thread: Jericho Open Mic Night Edition

No fun intro tonight... quite a bit on my mind with a relative in failing health and right now no answers as to what it is (at least it isn't cancer/leukemia... so... yay?????)
1 piece of small AEW news... the wrestler who plays Dark Order's #10 apparently has an arm injury and underwent surgery so he is out for a while
AEW is at Daily's Place in Jacksonville, Fla. and Chris Jericho returns to commentary tonight... so you know he's going to do an amazing job again of putting someone over while also running them down at the same time b/c Jericho really is tGOAT
Formerly The Revival... FTR makes their AEW in-ring debut tonight against Butcher & The Blade
Boom Boom Colt Cabana continues his turn to the Dark Order side when he loses tonight to "The Spanish God" Sammy Guevara
This looks like a fun little 6-man tag match... Inner Circle (Jake Hager, Santana, & Ortiz) vs. Best Friends & Orange Cassidy
The AEW TNT Championship is on the line tonight as "The American Nightmare" Cody defends against Marq Quen of Private Party
Hikaru Shida & Kris Statlander team up to take on Nyla Rose & Penelope Ford

NXT on USA returns to Full Sail University in Winter Park, Fla. for the fallout from TakeOver: In Your House
Io Shirai is the new NXT Women's Champion... but she's not even promoted for tonight's show so will they even discuss the botched ending to the triple threat from Sunday (Charlotte was also pinning Rhea... and let's hope Rhea didn't get severely concussed by Io's moonsault)
Adam Cole... fresh off the successful defense of his NXT Championship defense against Velveteen Dream in the Backlot Brawl... will take on Dexter Lumis in a non-title match. Did Bobby Fish & Roddy Strong ever get out of Lumis's concentration camp after Lumis kidnapped them during the Backlot Brawl?
Finn Balor... who also won during TakeOver... looks to avenge his previous loss to Cameron Grimes and that awesome hat

Of course he's injured. Didn't you see Moxley break his arm in that chair?
FTR was on the Cornette podcast the other day and mentioned they are only on a handshake deal with AEW right now, nothing long term. They probably will sign with them eventually but as of now they are not signed. I have a feeling they want to work the Crockett Cup whenever NWA comes back but who knows. Also Rhino mentioned he does have a tag partner and he has kids, so probably Heath Slater to Impact next month.

How long do you tease FTR vs the Young Bucks before actually putting them into an official match? And when that initial match occurs, you have to get Jim Cornette to accompany FTR to the ring.

it's a grandmother... so it's getting to that age where the worst could happen really any time... still doesn't make it any easier when you're hearing all the negative things that are going on from family 3 hours away
