Our baseball fans are polar opposite to our football fans.

lsu got beat. straight up.

I see no problem congratulating 18-22 year old underdogs for doing a great job during an amazing season for them.

it isnt like it was some sec school

most sport fans are neither humble nor show respect

One of the most embarrassing beat downs in super regional history. We didn’t get swept but they beat the frick out of us all series.

Paul’s worst super regional moment maybe worst post season moment.

Second would be losing last years super at home to the biggest choker in history

Last year and losing to Houston in the regional were way worst than this.

Go look at those rosters again. Stony Brook had a much more talented team. If those same players had Miami, the regional they won that year, across their chest no one would care anymore about that series.

Mason Katz was LSU’s centerfielder in that series while theirs, Travis Jankowski, was a first round draft pick that has played in the big leagues.

They were not underdogs. They were the more talented team. Just look at their number of draft picks.

The post-game made me sick. I understand congratulating your opponent for a well played series but the victory lap and the high fives are a little much.

I was in the Box that night. I did not high-five Stony Brook, but I do distinctly remember seeing the LSU team hanging their heads in the dugout while these kids were taking a victory lap in their stadium.

Terrible thing to watch.

Good Lord. How embarrassing and pathetic was that series? There's no way in hell we should have gotten beaten at home in the regionals with everything on the line. Paul really lucked out this season with covid hitting when it did and them cancelling the season, bc I know for a fact that LSU wouldn't have made it to Omaha and maybe not even the supers. We would have been prob a 2 seed at best in the regionals and had to travel...again. I think Woodward would have fired him after this season had it been played and the team had the results that it looked like they were going to have. He should be thanking the lord that he still has a job right now. He's definitely on a blazing hot seat on top of very thin ice. Next year is do or die for him bc there's no more excuses, it's get it done or we will find someone else to do it. Period. Just like we did with Les miles in football, we will treat Paul the same way. It's time to either get it done or move to the side and give someone else and opportunity to get it done. It just shouldn't be as hard as he makes it to win big here at LSU, especially in baseball. We have everything a coach could ever need or want to be successful. he is underachieving and it's getting to the end of the line for him. I hope he turns things around and gets LSU back to where we should be, but I just don't have the faith in him to do it like I once had. I hope like hell he proves me wrong, but I don't see him being our coach after next season, it's time for new blood in our program. Geaux Tigers.

...and I'm sorry, but there's no way in hell I would be one of those LSU fans giving Stony Brook a victory lap around Alex Box after embarrassing/beating us and ending our season. I don't think that makes me a bad sport at all, I am just a die hard LSU fan and I am very competitive. I will never go to that extent to congratulate another team for kicking our arse and ending our season in our own stadium like that. That's just stupid and idiotic. It's one thing to verbally congratulate them and clap for them for a brief period, but I would never be one of the dumbasses giving them a victory lap in Alex Box. Hell, why didn't our team just dogpile along with them after they won the series? It's makes zero sense.

Was there for that. It was an embarrassing and heartbreaking loss, while at the same time the greatest display of respect and sportsmanship I’ve ever seen.
