I'm surprised to see LSU take this step to support Black Lives Matter and honor George Floyd like this: LINK /

No offense, but they have to. Not saying they don’t or do, but they would be tone deaf in this environment to not publicly support it

Man that's like a kick to the nuts or a gun to the belly.

But if my white kid was murdered by a black cop, would they light up TS in his hs colors??

No, because that doesn’t draw eyeballs to the 24 hour networks
It is what it is

I've never heard the phrase "gun to the belly"

I'd like for you to provide statistics that tell me how many times this scenario happens.
You people just don't fricking get it.

I feel sorry for your kids for the life lessons you are failing to teach them.

You have no idea what I am/am not teaching my kids LE. It was merely a question.

What do you mean “you people”?

Black lives didn’t matter to BLM or LSU football when one of our own alumni was killed - Wayde Sims.
It’s all virtue signaling and faux support.

Yes we do. You’re a loss ball in tall weeds.

they have no choice but to bend the knee and do some pandering to the blacks right now...just give them a little so they'll pipe it...it's exactly what brees is doing

Whether you agree or not, it is a reaction to LSU lighting the stadium blue on April 28th in honor of the BRPD officer killed in the line of duty. They boxed themselves into a presumed contradiction if they didn't do the same for Floyd just over a month later. Some people would be asking "why do you honor cops when they are killed in the line of duty, but not honor a person killed by a cop?
The easiest solution would be to not engage in virtue signaling at all, and not honor anyone who isn't directly affiliated with the school and/or football program
