Ford rushing 4 new models in the next year, and they can't afford to screw it up

Ford faces huge challenge as it launches 4 key models at frantic pace
USA Today
It’s unusual for an automaker to launch – that's the industry term for the start of production and sales – four vehicles this important in such a short period:
1. The F-series, perpetually America’s best-selling vehicle, is Ford’s best seller and biggest moneymaker.
2. The sporty Mustang Mach-E is Ford’s first attempt to build a profitable, unique electric vehicle, and the company’s first attempt to stretch the Mustang nameplate to a new kind of vehicle.
3. The Bronco revives an old name for a rugged new SUV Ford expects to compete with vehicles like the Jeep Wrangler and possibly some of Land Rover’s luxury SUVs.
4. The Bronco Sport – that name’s not official yet, Ford execs call it “the rugged small SUV” – is an attempt to expand the popularity of the Bronco name to a smaller SUV that could become a significant moneymaker.
“These are all very high-profile vehicles,” said analyst Jeff Schuster of LMC Automotive. “Since Ford has teased them for quite some time, it is key to get the launch right.”
Success is not assured. Botching the launch of new Explorer and Aviator SUVs in 2019 cost Ford dearly and left eager buyers waiting for months or fuming over quality issues.
The 2021 F-150 is one of the first ones to make it out of the factory later this year. It has updated transmissions, a new interior, lower front air dam, and headlights copied from the GMC Sierra.

Truck doesn't look much different if that's supposed to be the next one.

Has ford made any real changes to their in dash screens in the past couple of years? They have tiny screens.

Lights definitely copy Sierra.
Bronco sport is hideous

Better hope that F150 is a winner.
Had a 2015 f150 for years and loved it.
Tried the new 2019 ram limited out and thought I missed my ford.
Until I recently rented an f150 recently and realized its shite against the new Ram. Ford has some catching up to do.

I'm kind of interested in seeing the new Bronco.
The F-150 is just an update to make it look like the competitors. Nothing really interesting going on there.
The Mustang Mach-E could be cool, but I think it should have been a Lincoln product.

They need the name to try and make it mainstream.
Strangely the only Mustang I would consider buying.

I'm not really a brand loyal guy when it comes to vehicles. I've driven Ram, GMC, Nissan and now a 2017 F150. It's ok. I like it but don't love it.

They are being conservative with the changes after they botched the new Ford Explorer.

Ugly AF electric Mustang. Would not drive.

Trying to compete with both the Wrangler and Land Rover with one vehicle is suicide. There’s no such thing as a rugged luxury vehicle. Rugged luxury is an oxymoron.

My 19 F150 has a pretty big screen. I’d imagine the same size or close to the same as everybody not named Ram.

I’ll believe it when I see it driving on the road.

Not sure if EV buyers want something called “Mustang”. And I doubt many Mustang buyers want an EV crossover.

Yeah I looked at a 2019 F150 the other day and laughed at how small the infotainment screen was
Who are they kidding with this? It looks awful

That's standard on the work truck models and base XLT. Pretty much all others have an 8" screen and it can be added on any of them. It's just like a $1500 upgrade that adds that and a few other features.

Is that the base model?
Have seen much bigger screens in them.

Rushing any product as complex as an auto to market sounds like a recipe for disaster.
