Jacques Doucet said Todd McCluer told him about the time the players were going to walk out of Dinardo’s first day of practice. He told Booger that and he said him and the players were being a little dramatic but Dinardo taught them hard work. Anybody in the know, was this about Dinardo having a hard first day of practice?

95-97 was an awesome time. Felt like LSU was about to take that next huge next step in 1998

I lived it...Dinardo brought the winds of change. He set the expectations high...and most importantly, brought the talent back to the program. We had be devastated by poor recruiting from 1989-1994. I still attended all the games I could, but the electricity of my Freshman year (1988) was gone. Dinardo brought back hope. He left the program in much better shape and the cupboards had enough in them for Saban to completely revive our program. I definitely give credit to Gerry for lifting us up and to Saban for establishing the strong roots that have kept us in contention for the last 20 years.

They had a ton of players that didn’t pass the conditioning drills. They were fat and out of shape. DiNardo ran them till they all puked up bile.

He said that kneeling for the anthem was disrespectful.
