You can't GoFundMe to profit from a criminal act. I gave money to the kid who popped the Trump balloon legal fees a couple years back and they cancelled it. Refunded the donation.

I’m sure that is selectively enforced to say the least.
They will classify this as a hate crime so that they can collect bank from this as opposed to a politically motivated race crime by the family.
