Yeah. I’m sure 100% of the Vietnam war casualties signed up to go there. They weren’t forced

An entire generation of political leadership lost the Vietnam War.

Thousands of Americans lost their lives fighting their lost war.

The Vietnam Memorial wasn’t built as a celebration though. Your comparison isn’t valid no matter how you slice it.

Militarily speaking we didn’t lose the war. The US won a lot more battles than they lost.

Policy wise, it was a complete failure.
