I’m just glad texting wasn’t a thing when I was in school. I’d hate to be that age and have to worry about something I said when I was young coming back to bite me years later.

No kidding.

We only had email when I was in school, but even then we understood that other people have administrative access to emails, so most of us were somewhat careful.

After college, an experienced boss gave me some sage advice: “Never put anything in an email that you’d be afraid to see printed on the front page of the newspaper.”

I’ve since tried to apply the same rule to texting.
