Just personal standpoint, I can't see why. He's most hated person in that city, even more than Trump. If I owned a restaurant or business in NYC, I'd refuse to serve that serial groundhog killer. The proper greeting to De Blasio is a spit in the face.

Something about elections and consequences comes to mind.
Dude is a literal fricking avowed communist and you elect him as mayor of the city that is widely considered the commercial capital of the world.
