She is working that dismount, but I don't know if they're adding it to the full routine yet.

Speaking of full routines, I am so sorry everyone, but I got dragged into Friday afternoon meetings so I was only able to watch floor from the intrasquad today. BUT... big news from the floor choreography, it appears they changed Haleigh's passes and flipped her second and third pass. So her second pass appears to be the front double full. Granted, she didn't compete it that way today, but her choreography had her finishing her second pass to the front and the third pass backwards, which makes me think that's what they've done. we shall see...

Other than that, I don't know much else... I'm sorry! Floor was as expected, no big news other than choreography and music is on point!

I was able to watch the full thing yesterday. Here are a few of my thoughts:

Vault: this one is kind of hard to tell but I think the vaults look as though they are coming on. Kamryn’s 1.5 eventually looked pretty nice, I am just not sure if the consistency will ever get there. My biggest concern here is that we absolutely have to have at least 5, if not 6, 10.0 vaults, and the amount of fulls yesterday was worrisome. It seems they are holding kiya out on leg events right now, so that will help if she gets healthy, but that’s the concern for me.

Bars: I think this lineup is actually looking in pretty good shape- but I worry that it is probably going to be a weak event again this year. I agree with whoever commented that Brock’s routine is much improved, also love how high she gets for her dismount. Alyona’s dismount is still crazy, even though she stuck it. Haleigh very much needs to figure out the half out, or that’s a tenth off at least, 9 out of 10 times. I still disagree with Sami being the anchor - there is just something about her form that judges don’t like and the scores just don’t build for her. I think getting Kai in or maybe aleah is also big for us here.

Beam: I agree that desiderio looks much better on this event than we have seen in maybe the last two years. I am hopeful that she has a great season, but we also need to condition someone else for that lead off to give them experience (looks like it might be arenas?) I think the leaps are looking a lot better. Sami was predictably streaky on beam, and I hope that she works through that, it’s always been the downfall. In lineup order yesterday dean was the anchor, which I am all for because of how consistent she typically is (and what a great story for her) Reagan still looks like she has essentially choreographed wobbles into her routine, which plagued her last year. I was excited they seemed to have given kiya a new dismount that will be easier for her to stick and they took out at her switch half series, which I think is also great for her. I think that this lineup should hopefully be more consistent than last year’s which will be critical to our chances this year. Also - great to see aleah competing a routine in the inter squad!

Floor: I was not overly impressed with the floor rotAtion, though it is still early. Christina’s double layout looked low even into soft and there was something wonky on her second pass. Again, if she doesn’t have the endurance come season, maybe have her focus on beam. We had a lot of landing issues, though I think that is likely attributed to timing and it’s coming on. It’s also the hardest one to watch because of the transition to soft landings through out, so it can be difficult to get a true sense of the choreography.
