FROM GOLF DIGEST ...
"Breaking it down in two divisions -- age and handicap -- here are the median driving distances from golfers across the world:

At its core, the median driving distance is 219.55 yards. Other club distances of note: the median 3-wood goes 186.89 yards, 7-iron clocks in at 133.48 yards and pitching wedge at a 73.97 mark. For what it's worth, golfers find the fairway 46.46 percent of the time."

The data is the data.

I’m sure there are many outliers.
Would need 2 standard deviation brackets to find them.

So 220 average. Some outliers will be 180 and some will be 260 plus. 345 for a high handicapper would be a black swan type outlier.

Anybody average about 220 per drive?

I’m probably right at the average when I consider every tee shot. I can only reach one par 5 at our course and it is fairly short at 454 yards. I can’t reach any of the others which are longer. Sometimes I hit it less than 220 especially if it is Wet, uphill or into a breeze! I rarely hit a ball 250+. When I do, it’s exciting. When I come over the top, it’s in the trees and much shorter than 220.
