because people are becoming more aware of proper nitrogen applications. usually weed & feed at the same time is a very poor decision.

Search up your local ag school's maintenance guidelines for your location and grass type. You'll find that optimal fertilizing is probably different than what you practice.

Once you do better, you dont even need the weed killers/prevent anymore. Your healthy grass will take care of all that on its own.
