1. eliminate income tax
2. eliminate social security, food stamps
3. eliminate federal minimum wage
4. implement VAT
5. implement UBI (not income based)

I cant tell if this is awful or amazing

Will destroy productivity and there will be nothing from which to tax in order to pay this.

This is the death spiral of Communism.

Isn’t the theory that people will still want to work and that UBI is just a replacement for social programs currently in place. If someone wants to be lazy how is that different than the people that already game the system?

I’m not arguing for it just isn’t that the argument in pro UBI people.

good grief. income tax is essential part of the federal reserve system for fleecing america. if you people would learn how the real system works, you wouldn't ask such ignorant questions.

can we live without income tax? yes. Have you ever tried to cut off rich people from their money? no you haven't or you'd be in the ground. This "country" survived for centuries without income tax before bankers concocted this system.

yes

eliminate almost all welfare. People who are content without working and living off the government already are, UBI without welfare just makes it transparent.

I mean id take it over what he have now. Essentially if everyone gets UBI, nobody does so it basically ends up being an elimination of the income tax. Itd have to be an amendment to the Constitution that included a prohibition of reimplementation of welfare programs.

Absolutely possible...if we want people living in cardboard boxes and shitting in the street...the third world is full of utopias like this...as long as there is no natural resource that someone else fancies.

If, however, you have some resources that are valuable and like the idea of turning on the spigot and having potable drinking water and taking a dump and pushing a handle and it disappears for someone else to deal with then no, most of this is not possible.

2-5 would not be necessary if we simply insisted that employers foot their entire production costs themselves. Instead we tax everyone and dole out the proceeds to employed people who are not paid enough to live in something other than a shack with no water and plumbing...and the ultimate beneficiaries are those at the top who keep those of us in the middle at the throats of those at the bottom so they can maintain their position at the top.
