What type of receiver should I be looking for? I like the idea of Sonos but I'm not really sure I want to spend all that money on 2 receivers

I don't think Sonos makes a receiver. They make an amp.

I bought one Sonos amp and power 7 pairs of speakers with it. Have a speaker selector connected to it.

But ya, buying multiple is expensive. Sonos fans talk about buying multiple of them like spending money on packs of bubble gum

Hope that helps.

So, then I don't need a 2nd Sonos amp if I was go to go that route? I could get a speaker selector hooked to it.And everything works the way it should? As in, you don't see any drop off in volume/power/whatever its called?
