My N-95 mask stops 95% of air borne particles that are 0.3 microns diameter and more than 95% of larger particles. Best data I can find shows respirable aerosols from humans are in the 2 - 10 micron size.
So, in an infectious atmosphere, if I'm wearing an N-95 mask and you're not, you will breath in a virus dose greater than 19 times the virus dose I breath in.

The Coronavirus is .12 microns (as per the Mayo Clinic).
