he was bitten by our new across the street neighbor's husky about 5 months ago

4 or 5 year ago, he would have beaten that big dog down

he got feeble for a few weeks and we thought he was gonna die, but he got better

about 6 weeks ago, he started getting an abscess where the dog bit him and developed a huge lump on his back

in the last week or so, the abscess started bleeding where the bites were, and today, his skin broke out, he is bleeding a little worse and the whole area looks red, tender & sore

abscess is now as big as his head

we are looking at an exam fee, sedation, draining the abscess, antibiotics and likely a several month treatment plan

I think it's time, the wife is close to crying...
