Davis is no longer a 5star he just dropped 2 spots... How in the hell is that possible when there hasn't been no camps...

Their explanation was they had him overrated initially and this is an adjustment where he is properly rated. They also said they did it now cuz it gives him time to improve his stock if there is a HS season

It’s not a bias against LSU players. It’s a bias towards currently uncommitted players.
They only have 32 5 stars per year. And being able to sell clicks on rumors as to where an uncommitted 5 star player will sign will sell more subscriptions than a currently committed player.
It’s a business and they’re maximizing their profits in a time when they have no camps or visits to report on.

This. Follow the money. How many years does the team with the #1 classes win the NC? Not nearly as often as you’d think. There’s not much drop from #1 to #5 or even 10. As long as it’s a top 10 or so class, there isn’t anything to worry about in recruiting.

And to underscore the point: all of the committed guys listed above magically dropped and all of the uncommitted guys listed magically got a bump.
It is really interesting watching the site operators trying to justify it. "Muh, what do you want us to do, not take into account "new information" we have received?" "Muh, the coaches are still giving out offers, should we not factor that in?"

Don’t stress over this. He’s a good player and we’re happy that he’s coming to LSU. These recruiting sites don’t mean squat. I put more stock in who coaches recruit and sign. Makes things a lot less stressful : )
