Being good at basketball does not equate to being a good judge of talent.
Also, if you watch player interviews, most are heavily biased towards the time period they played in. There's something to be said for objective perspectives.
It's also not an exaggeration to say every available stat favors LeBron.

That’s a pretty poor comparison. It takes much more than just being able to evaluate talent to be a good general manager. First and foremost, they need to be able to hire and manage other front office talent.
Regardless, are you suggesting guys that play professionally at a high level with the guys being discussed are generally worse at evaluating and comparing the skills of those players than people that never played professional basketball?
ETA: You might be able to argue that they’re biased but I think Ray Allen is a much more reliable authority when it comes to comparing MJ and Lebron than just about ANYBODY that’s never played with/against both of them.
