Sources: The NCAA Division I Council voted to approve voluntary athletic activities in football, MBB and WBB to start June 1st and go through June 30th. There had been a moratorium on that through May 31st. Other sports will be acted on on a later date.

once a player or a set of players test positive, what happens? that's the interesting question

I wonder which school is going to be the first one busted for covering up positive tests.

Frankly, I'm surprised they are allowing athletes to come back on campus when most schools (several weeks ago) prohibited in-person classes during the summer.
This is at least a step in the right direction of allowing football season to start on time. The next BIG question is can we have fans at games?

Honestly, it's an easy way for them to get students on campus in a small enough group that they can see what happens and see what needs to be done to deal with a potential outbreak before Fall semester begins.

It'll be one from the usual set of NCAA suspects - Southern Cal, Miami, UNC, Baylor, Auburn, Louisville, Ole Miss, any Big Ten East program.

I’ll ride.
I wonder what programs will hold out altogether? Won’t be a good look.
