I don't care if Tubbs is from Bumfricked, Egypt as long as he represents the people of the state. What we don't need is an incompetent, cowardly, buffoon who shows up for a check but checks out when he enters the door.

You have very few times in your life to really show your leadership and character. A pro forma vote on some routine spending or tax bill is not it. Sessions had a chance to stand in the arena and strike a blow for the American people. But he was so concerned with his own image as “impartial” or “above the fray” he shrank from his responsibility. He is paying for that lack of spine now.

You seriously think Trump has never been in a board meeting?
You seriously think Trump follows rules other than his own when he ran board meetings at the Trump Organization?

Within the next 3 years, Tommy Tuberville, who doesn't even know what Roberts Rules of Order are, will be Alabama's Senior Senator. What a joke. God Help Us.
And that is what needs to happen. Career politicians need to do just two things, lose the election and die.

(Not that Jeff Sessions is really any better)
Who gives a frick, we are war with a deadly determined enemy for the soul of this country and we are worried about Robert's Rules???

I'm more concerned about China.
Sessions was garbage as AG, but he was a strong Senator. Back when the GOP was more concerned with turning illegal immigrants into the next voting block, Sessions was filibustering the Senate to demand action on our border. He has been one of the few voices warning for years on the danger of China and going forward, we have to stop treating them like a benevolent economic partner. Before the pandemic, Tubs was pretty defensive of China. That's a red flag for me.
I'm not wild about Sessions, but the one thing I've never liked about Shelby is that he can easily be bought by the highest bidder. Alabama doesn't need two of those. Either way, I'll be voting against Doug Jones.

Most high school recruits want to meet the HC, but wouldn't be sad if they missed out on an hour of coach-speak.

Sessions is a Boy Scout. It's a plus and a flaw. He was a fool to recuse himself in that town, but I do believe he thought he was doing the right thing. He was also probably the only congressman in that town backing Trump when he started his campaign.
I completely understand the criticism and if there was a better candidate was running for that seat against him, I'd gladly support them. Tubs is a cardboard cutout for someone's money. China spends a lot of lobby money too. I'd rather have a naive idealist than a puppet.

So yeah, it’d be nice if a Republican Senator who’s “at war with a determined enemy for the soul of this country” knew or cared how the Senate worked so they don’t get out maneuvered by the other side.
It’s just one of many things that make Tuberville a moron or a phony. That doesn’t mean Sessions is any better but some of you have lost your fricking minds.

I have always liked Sessions, but he chose protecting the Institution of the DOJ over protecting the Country against that institution. I put him in the same category as those politicians who pick Party over country.

What “other side?” A vote for the Uniparty® is a vote between the left and right wing of our corrupt national security apparatus. Tubs, like Sessions, will dutifully do as he is instructed.

Hopefully he still has the ability to learn.
He can't be all that stupid if he survived Bobby Lowder.

Here we go...
U.S. Senate candidate Tommy Tuberville missed the deadline for filing a personal financial disclosure form required of senators and Senate candidates. The annual report was due May 15
Paul Shashy, spokesman for the Tuberville campaign, released a statement about the missed deadline.

What is Tommy Tuberville hiding? Sessions campaign manager Jon Jones said. Why won’t he tell the voters who is paying him? He won’t even debate Jeff Sessions. It’s time for Tommy Tuberville to quit hiding in the shadows and come clean to the voters of Alabama.

Throughout this campaign, Coach has been frank, open, and transparent about his finances, as evidenced by his pledge to donate his full Senate salary to veterans’ charities, and his filing will be submitted before the penalty deadline. Jeff Sessions’ report showed that he personally pocketed more than $100,000 in speaking fees from swampy special interest groups seeking his favor, which is one thing you won’t see on Coach’s filing
