ESPN LSU and App State

Like Rodney Dangerfield " Hey I get no respect"
1.I am thoroughly amazed that ESPN was able to push LSU around and get this game started at 4:00. I thought you could get them to pound sand. I love the night atmosphere in BR and the fans are second to none. Food ain't bad either.
2. ESPYS--Okay so App didn't win the ESPY. About time the baloon got a hole poke in it. Believe it or not we have "stuffed" ourselves with the Michigan game. Now we are sick of it. A great win but ITS HISTORY and if our team is spending any time thinking LSU is in any way comparable to Michigan I will be in for a VERY LONG DAY in the stands.
3. I believe that Miles is painting this as not only a must win but a MUST WIN BIG, get the crowd into this early with big hits and big plays and big scores in 1st quarter. If App thought we were going to get Michigan's best after halftime I am increasingly nervous about what we are going to get out of the gate in BR.
4. The check you are writing us to play is almost a third of what our booster club contirbutes this year. I bet you've got at least 1 alumn that gives that much.
5. Reality is sinking in......
6. See you folks in a month and a half.

Good post and way to not be delusional. You, my friend, are a good fan who understands what you are coming into. Thank you for the respect. You have mine.

I'm very disappointed at the game time as well. All of our out of conference opponents should get to experience saturday night in Death Valley.

ESPN does suck...
They made us move our November 1st, Saturday afternoon game to Friday night. That's Halloween. And it's going to be on ESPN, so it will take FOREVER....

Look, I hope you have a great season. I hope you have an awesome time tailgating before the game...bring an empty stomach and a thick skin(as well as a sense of humor), and I do hope you have a safe trip home. But, I also hope the Tigers come out and play the way they did in the opener last year with VT....total domination. Can't predict it will happen, but just hopin' they'll be ready.Have a great trip.

i cant wait for that game. halloween night is going to be the greatest night of my life. imagine a whole stadium of college coeds dressed up as sluts surrounded by drunk men decked out in costumes ready to party. its gonna be pandemonium. the cops arent going to know what to do.

I actually like the idea of a football game on Halloween. Everyone's decked out in costumes. Drink before the game. Go to the game. Go to house parties/bars and drink after the game.
Sounds like a good night to me

Man I can't agree more. I'm so sick of hearing about the Michigan game. That has cast a shadow over our program to the point that nobody knows anything else about ASU.

I wish LSU and ole miss would play on halloween every year.

Man, hook-up with somebody on this board and go down for Mardi Gras. Nothing that will ever happen in Boone compares to the stuff you will see there....

I guess I'm not happy about the Halloween game because my boyfriend's brother is getting married that night...

Not trying to sound like a prick, but till that game...
I didn't know there was an Appalachian State University.
So, maybe it was a good thing?

Thanks for letting us chime in from time to time. It's nice to come over hear and see what a great board you guys have and to get another perspective on things. You guys get sick of hearing about the Upset of the Century, but it definately put our school on the map. As a result, applications for ASU's 2008 freshman class increased nearly 40% from the prior year. Book store sales have been good as well, with many OSU fans putting in orders for App gear. The talking heads on ESPN even learned to pronounce our name right, most of the time. The thing is, it's always a great day to be a Mountaineer, win or lose. Hear's to a competitive game on Labor Day weekend in Baton Rouge. Cheers.

Well, at least we teach our student/atheletes to spell "balloon".
